did i just get a fantasy idea from a spotify ad
okay so it goes a little something like this (ps idk if this was made yet so)
our main character (a teenager), was given a book (or discovered a book in part of a library they're not allowed to be in) with a keyhole, the key for the book is attached to the actual book and no, you cannot rip the key off the book bc magic.
so the kid unlocked the book and it seems normal at first, until things slowly changes around them, like, why is there an old wall lamp thing on the attic? it wasn't there before? who grew these flowers out in the garden? isn't mom allergic to these? did someone repain the kitchen? yknow.
then oone night they reopened the book and its glowing. dude got curious and was suddenly transferred to another world without anything with them or some shit. like narnia or alice in wonderland but less batshit crazy people. and so yada yada there's a prince that falls in love with them, bla bla bla they don't get together bc the mc is aromantic and the prince respects this and supports them uh... they teamed up together, they go on a quest to save a kidnapped high status noble.
why is the prince the one doing this with an adventurer? bc fuck that he wants to do something exciting being inside the castle all the time is boring you know!? so they save the noble from different shit bc apparently they messed with witches, faeries, dragons, merpeople and stuff so adventure!!!
will their be conflict? sure! i don't know what it is yet but sure!
and then all in the middle of it-- mc wakes up. they're in a hospital. they check the time, 8:39 it read. they're confused, what? they see flowers and get well soon cards from their parents and friends. what happened? they ask. a nurse comes in to check up on them, his eyes widen as his patient is awake. they ask what date it is, he answer. december 16, 1998.
they have been asleep for three years.
then
cliffhanger.
