Continuing on with the 7 day #Tiedtothesky challenge. Today's theme is dropping like your not scared of heights, or just Drops. This is a bit of a throw back to last year's @aeriformarts showcase, and to one of the scariest drops I have learned on silks. Those who know me, know just how terrified I can be of dropping (especially on silks). This is why I wanted to challenge myself to put this drop into my aerial piece. It may not be the most dramatic, but it has left a lasting impression on me (and I'm not just talking about the burn on my foot). . . . Today's #Tiedtothesky aerial challenge is focused on Progress. So I decided to visit my old favorite the lever split (also called the Russian split). When I first learned this move it was everything to me. It showed my strength, my flexibility, and it was a beautiful shape to create. During my first aerial photo shoot I knew that even though it wasn't all that flat, I had to capture this moment to remind myself what I was capable of. Well, it's nice to see that after all this time it finally has started to flatten out. Never stop changing into the person who you want to be. . Bonus: if you scroll through you can see how long my hair used to be. Took 7 years to grow it out and one hot day to cut if off. 🤣 . . . Day 3 of the #Tiedtothesky aerial challenge. Today is all about your favorite move. This was a tough choice, I love so many different apparatuses and they each have such unique and beautiful shapes, but at the moment it think this one is my all time favorite. I still don't quite know the name for this (been calling it trapped split) but it was the challenge of figuring it out and perfecting it that has made it near and dear to my heart. . . .
