Pace, Sit, Breathe─ repeat. Pace, Sit, Breathe─ stand, repeat. Such regime had been recited fervently within her mind for hours, as her tight limbs delegated the orders in sync with each passing tick of the clock; seconds blurred into minutes, hours to the pacing present. Pace, Sit, Breathe─ breathe…is it even necessary for such a living action? Have you been uselessly filling your lungs this whole time? Pace, Sit, Stand─ repeat. Pace, Sit, Stand─ repeat. Pa─ BREATHE I WAS WRONG B R E A T H E. The wired demoness slumped down in her office chair with apprehensive distress, stretching out her led heavy legs in a contrasting relaxed facade. This anxiousness that ran cold to her core was quite unreasonable, a reaction to a cause that had long been soothed and sorted; the departure of her beloved companion having the seeds of time to allow growth and renewal. This isn’t as time last─ This isn’t as time last…she is returning…she is─ she’s i─ n so much trouble!
Victoria sprung from her resting position, a huff and puff spewing out from the grace of her lips. The sun now discarded with the day, her newly heated steps weaved in and out of the moonlit gleam, in which patterned the expanse of the windowed room. The long corrupt woman stewed in her thoughts which began to take on a possessive nature, the words, encased within herself periodically echoing throughout the office. My closest bond─ my most trusted bond is returning─ “As if she thought space between us would dwindle it? That her sight could glace upon another to replace the humble gaze of mine!” I am not someone to be replaced─ “to be left behind!” I am not someone who does not miss another…especially the soul such as hers….never her.
Her legs now worn, Victoria had long since slid her lithe form to the hardwood flooring; as the polar actions having taken the animation from her step, replacing it with a longing ache. She is returning─ “Wandering witch of mine, appear~” Arm raised towards the closed door, she wiggled her fingers in a mocking visual gesture, all her wishes concentrated on one being. “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo~”
Years from now, whilst this reuniting tale is repeated among the land, it will be this exact moment, where spectators and non-believers claim discrepancy towards the story-line. The moment, as a familiar presence invades every corner of Victoria’s frame with securely spun vines. The moment, as the opening to the council room sways from its hinges, revealing a long awaited being from the threshold. Surely, a coincidence as such was never to be true…but yet, as the elegance of refined syllables declared an arrival, the demoness found herself embracing without reservation, the one creature for which she’d wished within the entirety of existence.
