Hey folks, I've already told you how much I love Lethal Lit, the podcast about girl detective Tig Torres investigating a serial killer in her hometown of Hollow Falls to clear her late Aunt's name.
And now season 2 is available! I'm so happy to be spending a few more hours with Tig and her Scooby gang!

The podcast format feels a natural for the genre, and Tig is a great addition to the girl detective genre, a mix of Veronica Mars and the Blue and Gold’s Betty Cooper, with her own history.

Lethal Lit: Murder of Crows - K. Ancrum
It was SO STUPIDLY FUN to reprise my role as Harry Levinson in the second season of Lethal Lit! Thanks to Einhorn Epic Productions, Krizia Bajos, and all the folks at IHeartRadio!
All six episodes of Lethal Lit, the scripted podcast written and created by Alex Segura @alexsegura and Monica Gallagher, have been now released, and I’m more excited than ever about this story after listening to the final chapter.
But first, let me rewind a bit: Lethal Lit is the story of Tig Torres, a young latina set on clearing her aunt’s name by discovering the real identity of a serial killer in a small town that’d rather let the past buried. The production values and voice acting are top-notch, and the whole experience was extremely satisfying. It truly feels like a new media combining the best of written fiction and TV serial. The plot has all the necessary twists, deaths, and literary references the name suggests, but my favorite part was the characters.
Tig is a great contemporary addition to the ranks of classic girl detectives like Nancy Drew and Veronica Mars, and Hollow Falls, the small town she returns to after living in NYC, feels just as unsettling as Twin Peaks or Riverdale (the TV show). She conducts her investigation as a true crime podcast, which is a brilliant idea: not only does it allow some nice game play between the actual and fictional podcasts, but this is arguably the modern form of investigative journalism, a subgenre very close to the P.I. stories near and dear to my heart, and it rings true to our times, while allowing classic voice-over and first-person narration.
There are also some interesting subplots with her scooby-gang friends from the school journal that need to be followed up on in future seasons—and oh boy, do I hope we’ll be getting a few more seasons after such a strong first showing.
