Hey y’all, if you watch Tiger King on Netflix that’s cool and everything, but I BEG OF YOU please do some actual research on Big Cat Rescue and read the post that Carole wrote responding to the “documentary.”
Please, cause while she may have started out on as an exotic animal exploiter, she found out why she was wrong and has since dedicated a lot of time and energy into rescuing and rehabilitating when possible injured cats and past exotic pets. Big Cat rescue is an accredited sanctuary by Global Federation of Sanctuaries. Carole is working to get a bill passed through congress to better protect exotic cats called Big Cat Public Safety Act.
My coworkers were talking about her like she was no better than Joe Exotic and that’s just so fucking wrong. Also check out their youtube where you can see how much they don’t pet the cats or let people pay to touch the cats, and release the injured wild cats that occasionally come through their doors.
