Day 2: If You Wanna Be My Lover

The Pit:

Andros- Tony feels too intimidated by him, even though he’s barely talked to him. It could be that he seems to display the attributes of a great leader, or it could be that Tony associates authority figures with negative things, thanks to Sam. Tony wishes that he could talk to him more.

Shai-rah- Her power and determination are something to be admired. Tony is always in awe after witnessing Shai in battle, and dreams of being as strong as her. He’s gotten upset at how hot-headed (?) and impulsive she can be, but he knows deep down that it’s because she cares for her friends. And she’s also a dork.

Feather- How can someone be cute and scary? Because Feather is definitely cute. And scary. Tony feels as if she has to be protected somehow, but eh, she’s got a dragon. She’ll be fine. Honestly pretty intimidated by her, but willing to lend her a hand in stuff.

Goh- He’s so cool, smart, and cute! And kinda awkward! The way Goh helped Tony finish off an undead creature has been stuck in the shifter’s mind for the longest time ever. He wishes he could be as stylish and witty as that guy. Tony’s a little weirded out with how Goh agrees to help him with stuff, and... he didn’t mind getting stabbed...? His love for books reminds Tony of [...].

Sin- Sin’s free spirit, iron will, and expertise as a monk make her Tony’s senpai. He feels as though he still has to know her more. Conversing about monastic traditions and training is on the bucket list. Her attitude... is amazing. Slap that betch, senpai!

Bright- Ah, yes. The stranger who cut Olga in half. Tony harbored a grudge against Bright during the Rat Trial, and to this point, a little bit of that anger still lingers. He’s been trying to admit that Bright’s actions were justified and that the tiefling meant no harm. Other than that, Tony thinks of him as a pleasant guy and enjoys his meals a lot. He seems a little socially awkward too. Cute?

Urth- He likes trees. He seems cool. But he’s so reserved. Tony saved a branch for him. Please accept branch. Please let this friendship blossom.

Aurae- Tony’s a little attached to Aurae because she joined the Pit at the same time that she did. He still remembers when they were drinking ale together while watching Shai murder a cat lady to bloody pieces. He hasn’t been able to talk to her much because of how shy he was in the beginning and her... uh... condition after inhaling large amounts of “weed”.

Mialee- “She’s super nice and I owe her my life!” Tony feels relief and comfort whenever he’s near Mialee. The lady’s saved his life multiple times and, for some reason, he feels like he can trust her a little bit with his inner demons. Tony also loves sneaking around her and trying to pull off lies because it’s a way that he uses to measure his skills.

The Hand in the Dark:

Halo Bluewood- Tony feels like he owes his entire life to this woman. He is forever grateful that she took him out of the streets, and is deeply moved by her reassuring words, which were a stark contrast to Shusher’s treatment. He loves that he’s allowed to be himself in her presence, and tries to take her wisdom to heart. If any harm would come to her, he’d be completely and utterly devastated. Tony constantly worries for her well-being after both of them began getting persecuted by their peers. 

Shusher Sam- “He’s strict, but I’m sure it’s for a good reason.” To the shifter, Shusher Sam is a prime example of what a disciplined and successful person (or bird?) should be like. The kenku’s cutting words and cruel treatment are used to make people better... surely... Tony is constantly intimidated with this individual’s presence, and it’s thanks to him that the young man developed a habit of perfectionism. Every strike has to have pinpoint accuracy. Every plan should be accomplished flawlessly. Despite Tony’s efforts to apply his training, he can still feel Shusher’s overwhelming presence bearing down on him... judging him. Shusher’s sudden attack against Halo and Tony before declaring them traitors and sentencing them to death has hurt Tony deeply.

Quick Fish- Despite being one of the Hand in the Dark’s masters, Tony knows next to nothing about this Tabaxi, which is probably thanks to his specialty.

Olga- Tony’s role model for the majority of his life. They met each other as kids in the monastery, and Tony always looked up to her due to her amazing talent compared to others. It’s partly thanks to her that he’s so freakishly good at pickpocketing. He thought of her as an amazing and influential friend, but now, he doesn’t know what to think. After being attacked by her and knowing that she told Quick Fish to eliminate him, Tony’s at a loss for what to do. He hopes that he can reach out to her so he can know if anything is troubling her or if she’s being forced to do anything against her will. Even though he loves her with all his heart, he’s still deeply upset at her, maybe even starting to become enraged, because she refuses to say what’s wrong and put Halo in danger.

Pickles- The cutest lil’ mouse that the world has ever seen. Tony usually keeps her a secret from other people and loves to play with her when no one’s looking.
