Alright, well, when I first adopted one of my lovies from his old hom, he was in really rough shape. My roommate at the time and I took him to the vet, and she started calling him 'yellow turkey' because that's what he kind of looked like, minus a lot of feathers. Now I constantly go between yellow turkey and little ostrich, because that's what he looks like when he runs xD
now that I think about it they really do look like ostriches or turkeys, especially when they do the extended neck thing, throw in some missing feathers and you’ve got a miniature replica! Precious bab, glad to hear he’s doing better now!
