We have mixed feelings about the huge transformation that Hotel Garuda is undergoing right now. The production duo, consisting of Manila Killa and Candle Weather, has long enamored us with their music. But they recently announced that Manila Killa would be focusing on his solo project, while Candle Weather would continue Hotel Garuda alone. On the one hand, we’re mourning the end of an era. On the other, we love both these producer’s solo music, so we’re excited to hear what Candle Weather has in store for us next. We have a feeling there are great things coming soon from Hotel Garuda, regardless of this new development. In the meantime, we thank the music gods that Hotel Garuda has given us a final track as a duo, and we love the spicy scintillating, vivaciously bopping, and flushed rousing tune that is Blurry Eyes, featuring Runn. We’re head over heels for Toronto producer Pusher’s fluorescent swiveling, coruscant shimmering deep house and future funk take on the track.
