I had been desperate to get over to Old Street to experience this popular destination for coffee lovers and I was not disappointed at all! This coffee shop is absolute perfection. First things first, the coffee is absolutely divine. There is an excellent variety of both coffee and tea all served in fashionable little cups and brought to you on rustic wooden boards. Added bonus? They bring tap water over with your coffee, you don't have to ask!
The music playlist consisted of indie-hip guitar favourites and the cliental were young and trendy (and mainly typing away on MacBooks!). As well as being light and airy, there were various comfy leather sofas as well as some booth seating areas. It is easy to see why journalists and students like it here!
The food at Timberyard is also impressive. From the lunchtime classics to a delicious selection of brownies, I would have liked to have hung around and tried it all!
What this coffee shop really thrives on however, is originality. The selection of flavoured popcorns for example. Or perhaps the public iPads loaded with popular news sights and free for customer use. Get down to this one, it is quite a place!
