Time Cop Diary 01: The Payphone Wizard
(This is by another character in the Time Travel Diaries series. Since it's the first story focusing on this character, it's public access so people will be able to get an idea of what the Time Cop Diaries will be like. Enjoy, everyone!)
People ask me how to be a Time Cop. The job always has me putting together puzzles. So if you want to be more ready for the job, solve puzzles in your spare time. Read a mystery and try to imagine how you'd figure out whodunnit if you read the book out of order. If it's not a library book then try cutting out the pages and shuffling them out of order so you can really get the experience of navigating a deductive time paradox. There's no one right way to do it, of course. There's just lots of exercising your mental muscles, your temporal senses, your psychic instincts for what's true.
And then, there's this: relax. You're a time traveler, friend. You've got this.
