LAFAYETTE NOT ONLY HAD TO ENDURE THE LOSS OF HIS ENTIRE FAMILY IN HIS LIFE, BUT ALSO HIS TWO CLOSEST FRIENDS HAMILTON AND LAURENS, HIS FATHER FIGURE WASHINGTON, HIS DAUGHTER HENRIETTE AND HIS WIFE ADRIENNE. HAHAHAHA I'M GONNA GO CRY FOR 17 HOURS.

Because I love to break hearts LET’S MAKE THIS WORSE!!!!!! Here are all the dates that people in Lafayette’s life died on!!! (For reference, Lafayette was born on September 6, 1757)

Father: July 9, 1759 (Lafayette was not yet 2)Mother: April 3, 1770 (Lafayette was 12)Great-Grandfather: April 24, 1770 (two loved ones in less than a month......)Henriette Lafayette (daughter): 1778 at less than a year old (Laf was 20/21)John Laurens: August 27, 1782 (Lafayette was 24) Tench Tilghman: April 18, 1786 (Lafayette was 29) George Washington: December 14, 1799 (Lafayette was 42) Alexander Hamilton: July 12, 1804 (Lafayette was 46) Adrienne de Lafayette (wife): December 24, 1807 (Lafayette was 50) Thomas Jefferson: July 4, 1826 (Lafayette was 69) There’s other people (his grandmother and in-laws, for one) whose death dates I don’t know, too... 

And to make this sadder: Adrienne’s decline in health is usually blamed on the prison conditions she endured when she voluntarily stayed in prison with her husband so..... imagine how her death impacted him.......
