Short body tinfoil barb. One of the most interesting mutations that seems to crop up in lots of species of fish is the short body mutation. I imagine the first short body fish to be bred was likely the goldfish. Now you can find balloon mollies, balloon rams, even short body oscars and flowerhorns. I quite like the aesthetic of this short body tinfoil barb. Although, with these mutations I know, as fishkeepers, we have to remain aware of the quality of life of the fish. I think short body forms are probably less problematic when you consider some of the more extreme body types we have in goldfish. It's a choice we all have to make ourselves. Personally, I don't mind interesting mutations as long as the owner maintains a decent quality of life for the fish.
