1. What’s something that bothers you about your process or your wip?

That I'm too slow. I feel like I have an awesome idea, the characters are pretty much set, the plot is there, but getting it from my brain to paper is taking longer than anticipated. It is frustrating.

2. Which oc or worldbuilding facet are you most proud of/ do you think is the most original?

I love coming up with backstories that have characters fit in without implying/forcing ships or relationships onto other characters. It really is one of favorite things to do.

3. Who’s your oldest oc?

Emily. She is who I started with and she is who I will stick with until the end.

4. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever recieved?

Just write. Don't let doubt or fear stop you. Editing can alway come later. If you want to write, write.

5. Who do you think will be your readers’ favorite character?

Rn I wish people loved Ethan or Ofreyja a bit more. As of now, my novel's characters aren't for public view.

6. Are any of your characters based on you?

I use bits and pieces, not me as a whole.

7. What inspired you to start writing?

I just like imagining different scenarios and playing them out through writing.

8. Do you have any alternate motive/ agenda for writing? Are you trying to make a statement with your wip or is it just for fun?

Just for fun.

9. Is there any age demographic that you’ve had difficulty or insecurity when portraying?

Younger ages. I don't do well writing children.

10. What’s your longest project?

Rn, my novel. It hasn't been that long since I started, but it has changed so much over the past 1 1/2 years that it can sometimes feel daunting to finish.

The whole world’s reduced down to the thick pulse of blood. Blood, crusting Daryl’s clothes stiff and still seeping. His leg slick with it, boot squelching with each stumbled step. His shredded shirt’s so wet he can’t tell where the wound is anymore, shaking hand pressing vaguely over the space where the blade had slipped in. Below his ribs, too low for his heart. 

The heart would’ve been a clean death, at least. Now?

Now he’s stumbling through the woods on feet that won’t stay flat, knees that keep aiming to buckle. The sick tang of copper’s all he can taste on each breath, and his vision’s fading red and then black between blinks. Town should be close, he thinks, but the trees are vague and shifting around him. The trunk of one slams his shoulder and he shoves off it with a grunt. The ground swims toward his face, and he stubbornly stomps it back down.

But the blood... he can’t get rid of the blood. There’s too much of it, everywhere, taking over.

The blood will lead the dead ones right to him.

He blinks vague toward the sky but can’t make out whether day or night hangs above him. The safety of the sun, the moon’s doom. Crimson shades are swimming in his vision and the blood’s rushing too loud and too thin in his ears. Consciousness is a vague thing, half-held to, and the ache of the wound is everywhere all at once. Maybe he’ll bleed out before the dead find him. That, at least, would be a small mercy.

A dizzy snort slips out at the thought of them tracking him, chasing him all this way only to find a dried husk waiting. No meal for them, no victory, all his precious fluids drained and soaked into the hungry earth.

The trees in front of him are thick and solid now, a wall too dense and too tall to glimpse sky through. He blinks watery eyes and tries to step toward it, but the branches he hits rattle, and hold firm. The sound reminds him of swords clashing, and when he slumps against them, the branches are smooth and cool. It’s not a bad place to end, he decides: the cool a balm to his fevered skin, the ground soft and forgiving when it finally rises up to meet him. The blood’s slowing too, he thinks. Finally. And that’s something.

The blood. Finally...

Darkness.

AUTUMNAL ASKS

lantern - how did you meet your best friend? What were your first impressions of each other?

WELL. @disturbxnces and I met online. It was rp related but it was not on tumblr, nor do we typically hash out the way we met because it stirs up far too much embarrassment. I can only speak on my first impressions of her, and she was a good writer and our plot was suuuper cute. I think one of the first days we truly started talking a lot OOC was on or around her birthday, and I think she might have been sad??? It’s been like over 6 years so I truly cannot recall much of it. But that’s what I’m thinking it was. Sara pls correct me if I am wrong.

And then we just legit never stopped talking. Took a break from our writing and still found ourselves talking every day and found out we were, essentially, the same exact person with the same kind of interests, sense of humor, etc. Moved from emailing to kik and then video-chatting (and drunkenly crying about each other and falling asleep on skype together).

And now, in about 75 days, Imma meet her for the first time ever and I get so buzzed just even THINKING about that. We were just talking today about specifics about the matching tattoos we’re going to get when she’s here. 

SO all in all I GUESS i thought she was p cool. And I suppose I’m lucky she’s in my life. <3

Daryl had been nursing his beer all night. The usual crowd was at the usual bar on a typical Friday. The only difference now was that Halloween decorations had been strewn about.

PVC had been spray painted Orange and turned into pumpkins now littering the tables. Paper switches and ghosts hung in the windows. Fake spider webs made out of cotton and string were spread thin across the bushes out front. The new bartender really had a hard-on for the holiday.

“I don’t usually do anything for Halloween," he said to the woman sitting next to him and to no one all at the same time. "Candy and spooks jus' ain't my thing," he added before taking another sip of his beer.

The smoke-song of her voice floated in over the patter of rain. Both of them soothing, when they shouldn’t be.

The storm was barely rolling in but Daryl could see it on the horizon, lightning flashing over distant trees and lighting the reservoir. There was a thrill in his chest from it already, a flutter of anticipation. (Nerves, doubt, a decades-old ache.) His thumbs ran along the rough bark of the fallen tree where he perched, and he sighed.

“Gonna wash out the trails. Make it harder to hunt tomorrow.”

But he’d always loved it, anyway. The rumble of thunder in his chest, just like a bike’s engine. Like freedom, fresh starts. The whole world washing clean for them to fuck up again tomorrow.

They’d stood in the warm rain together more than once during those summers. How many times had the world washed clean since then? Were they still the same people at all?

He sank his eyes shut, tilting his head back into the water.

“You gonna come sit with me or what?”

What was your muse’s best sexual experience?

Well, there was this one girl when he was sixteen... :P

In most ‘verses Daryl hasn’t ever had what most people would call a great sexual experience. He’s had a few fumbling drunk or high hookups, but his personal issues kept him from looking for much and his confusion about his sexuality left him nervous and angry with guys and hesitant and guilty with girls.

Probably his best sexual experience was in his early 20s at some party Merle’d dragged him to. The girl was someone he vaguely knew from around town, closer to Merle’s age than his, and she told him upfront she just wanted to get laid. They were both drunk but not enough for it to be too sloppy, Daryl got off without having to worry about what it might mean, and she never treated him any differently when she saw him around town afterward.

Beth: nature fairy

Shy and gentle by nature, these fairies are characterized by their nurturing spirit, and have been known to act as a guiding force to people lost alone in the wilderness (which I think fits really well for how she was with Daryl in s4)

Maggie: fury

Goddesses of justice and vengeance, furies are fierce warriors who will stop at nothing to pursue the wicked and punish those who’ve earned their wrath (most often liars and murderers).
