9.15.25 - books & post journaling todos

woke up really anxious so I took an hour this morning to journal & extracted todos from that entry

i was recently gifted tarot cards & today I drew the king of swords which was a good reminder to get out of my head with my anxieties and take action instead

the top shelf is books i've read and the bottom are ones i've yet to get to - i've been having some good luck with finding used/free books lately. I've also been Obsessed with Tiny Bookshop for the past week and have already completed a year in the game :O if you're also playing, tell me who your favorite character is!

Tiny Bookshop Journal Pages

Does anyone remember that I have a gaming journal? I do, finally found time to not only fill it out but figure out how it is I want to use it. By the way, spoilers ahead.

It's taken me nearly two years to figure out how to use my gaming journal, and I know that sounds strange. Like, why have a gaming journal if you don't really know how to use it? And that's because I am a big believer trying to be more thoughtful in what I consume. I was a literature major before being an admin assistant. And I believe everything, including video games is worth reflecting on.

However, I've learned that not all video games are worth reflecting on. Not the hour hidden object games that I like playing, or the things I do to kill time.

Games though that make me think, that make me want to write, or where I've written a lot of notes on, are worth recording. I had a lot of thoughts about the Tiny Bookshop game even though I haven't technically completed all the quests. It was just a really well written game, it was also a game that made me want to design a reading list based off of the books in the game itself.

Which is why I had written this, and apparently had a lot to say.
