late answer for @school-needs-out: I changed a white sheep into a chicken 5 times by tapping the 'refresh' circle on the animal photo, then choosing white chicken. it does get more expensive each time you change the animal's appearance, but it's cheaper to do a basic animal 5 times (I chose a sheep since I needed it anyway!) if it's not completing like it should, I'd recommend refreshing the entire quest list. I do this whenever I get clogged with hard, time consuming, or expensive quests to complete. hope this helps!
