The Unlikely Alliance
The door of Kinn’s office bursts open without warning.
“How the fuck did you let Chay get kidnapped again?!” Kim yells, crossing the room to slam a hand on his brother’s desk.
Kinn doesn’t even flinch, merely sighs deeply and rubs the bridge of his nose. T he security of this damn compound is getting ridiculous . Even in the inevitable chaos of today’s events, there’s no reason not to alert him when someone this angry is heading his way.
“Who told you?”
“I have my sources,” Kim snaps.
“Yes. Right. I’m just asking if I need to fire someone, or if yelling at Tankhun will be sufficient.”
“That’s the most important thing now, P’Kinn, really? How about why you’re just sitting in your office? Why aren’t you looking for him?!”
