Goofy gang reading headcannons !!!
Tucker: Mainly listens to audiobooks while doing boring tasks, so he barely reads physical books. He listens to a pretty wide variety of books, but tends to sway towards practical books on things he thinks he might need in the future. He also likes books with dense plots and lots of twists, like murder mysteries, because he enjoys the challenge of puzzling all the details out before it's revealed in the end.
Cheap: has terrible reading comprehension. He can read things when concentrating but processing is a whole different ballpark, so he prefers to stick to things with pictures like comics (his usual pick), magazines (only ones about interesting stuff like food or animals), and children's books on occasion (if he likes one of the characters enough. Note, he's particularly tickled by Pete the Cat)
Ali: LOVES horror/thriller. He quite likes mysteries and dramas too, but his favorite books are all horrors. Obviously he's read a lot of Stephen King, but he's also a big fan of Shirley Jackson and Riley Sager and their respective works.
Walli: Will read just about anything. He likes asking his friends for recommendations, not just for new reading material but also to hear them nerd out about anything they thought he'd enjoy. Is the one most likely to enjoy school reading.
Esta: Huge fantasy buff. He loves imagining different fantasy scenarios, especially ones that twist a common trope and push through the odds. He's a big fan of royalty related stuff too. And yes, of course he's read all of both Bridgerton and the PJO series'. He also reads sci-fi on occasion, but he prefers base fantasy.
Creebus: Secretly reads cringy YA romance novels. One time Walli found him curled up with The Love Hypothesis and Creebus almost killed him right there, but Walli swore himself to secrecy on Creebus' behalf. After that happened, occasionally Walli now asks Creebus for a book recommendation and watches him struggle to recommend something Walli will actually enjoy.
