Hehe 😜
Sorry for disappearing, back in full effect 🙆🏽♀️
I told my therapist that I didn’t want to tell her I had started smoking heavily because there are so many stereotypes about young black people being irresponsible pot heads and I didn’t want her to look at me differently (which she did). My white friends aren’t afraid to light up on a busy street, but you won’t catch me anywhere but a side street or an empty park if I’m smoking outside (one run in with the NYPD over weed was enough for me). Point is, I feel like the lenses are different for POC smokers and non POC smokers; not within the stoner community but from the outside world. That’s why I love finding black stoner blogs on here. Seeing black people smoking the same shit as white people, and owning it, and making themselves seen in a normal light (a not criminal light as we’re often depicted when it comes to weed) THAT is something that brings me joy. Black stoner blogs are important. Having that safe space to express your love/fascination with this plant is extremely important. Support Black stoner blogs.
