Hi! It's me again, literal months later 😅
I finally discovered why I was having some problems hand spinning what I had: I didn't know you were supposed to take the guard hairs out
So I'm finally doing that and the difference in the final texture of the wool (it's so soft omg!) and the difficulty of spinning (it's so easy now 😭) is literally worlds apart.
But, as always, there's a problem
To get from this
To this
I have to literally take every single hair out by hand.
And this is after two washes and four rounds of carding. The remaining guard hairs just won't come out no matter how much I brush.
I was wondering if maybe you had some tips on how to make the process a little bit faster that taking the hairs out by hand.
And if not, at least I know I'm not wasting my time because I don't know the magic secret 😂
Have a good day! ❤️
I never worked with wool that hat the hair in it 🤔😅
I found this video, maybe that helps?
She separates wool from hair on 1:42
I hope the English subtitles are good enough
And good luck 😅🥲
