Missing your first year because you signed up way too late.

Being unable to swipe your card correctly for meals and the cashier gives you the look of supreme judgement.
I'm super nervous about switching campuses, and none of my friends from last year are coming to my campus (West). Do you have any advice?
Don’t be nervous! West is a place where a lot of great tipsters have gone and no matter what it’s TiP: you’ll find someone with the same ideals and mindset as yourself. I encourage you to make the most of your time and to remember that a new campus is never bad :) i switched campuses my 4th year after going to West for 2 years, and I felt very welcome at both campuses.
I hope you have a great time!
What are the differences between West and East? Is one better than the other, is one easier to make friends at than the other, etc. Thanks!
No matter what I answer here, I just want to make it clear that I’ve had fantastic times at both campuses and I wouldn’t change a thing if I could. I went to West Terms 1 and 2 and East Term 2 so I’m not really the final say in this I’m just someone with opinions lol
In my opinion it was a lot easier to make friends at East. Not only were the people there much more open, but West is more cliquey and as a general population somewhat introverted. Neither is better than the other, but East seems to have really established itself as a summer camp and just feels more camp-like with long standing traditions and counselors who are basically veterans at the camp. West, on the other hand, is visually beautiful and I know a lot of great tipsters who have graduated from it. I don’t want to bias you or make you “dread” going to one campus over the other but this is what I found in my experience.
I got wait listed today :( Do you know if there's any chance I'll be admitted? It's my fourth year and last chance to go to TIP (haven't been since my first year). Also, could I call and tell them I would take any spot in any course?
I’m so sorry that happened to you :( and yes there’s a good chance trust me a lot of people get off the waitlist more than you think. You should definitely contact them and tell them that it’ll give you a larger chance of getting in. Wishing the best for you and all the other waitlisted tipsters out there!
