in my brain where 80% of comic related materials are about either A) Complicated parent- child relationships B) people shouting pretentious violence treatise at each other NTT are such an incredible collection of kids
Joey and Raven make stronger parallels with their kindred relationship towards violence, destructive fathers and their opposite relationship to them (where Raven’s dad wants to us control her, while Joey was allowed and encouraged to be the Gentle Black Sheep of the Wilson’s). But I feel like adding Kory as the third parallel who was used by her parents as a bargaining chip and went along with it willingly is soooo interesting to me. They’re all empathetic people but they’re own histories and personalities make their relationship to violence very different. It’s so so so tasty
I will reevaluate this when I’m done reading ntt but for now…I’m rotating them in my brain.
