This time, however, the boy’s determined to show the world that he’s not some pushover— so he glares. It’s an uncertain glare, but one that looked as defiant as a criminal walking past a cop.

"Have something to say, child? Go ahead." This was one of the worse things to do when he was already half way towards complete anger. Something about this particular person irked him to no end and he couldn't even be bothered to analyze the reasons why.
