Re: Cameo and Pocoloco's lips There's another black(or at least black-coded) character in Jojos whose lips you haven't talked about, and that's Tiziano. I know in the manga his lips aren't lighter, but in the anime they are. At least in some shots. It's kinda inconsistent though, and it's hard to tell if it's lipstick, lighting, or poor design. What's your thoughts on his anime design?

i see nothing wrong personally with tizi’s design! the big reason for that is that both of his lips aren’t both the same, lightly coloured shade. i headcanon him as mixed Black naturally even if it’s not canonically stated because literally look at him(positive)

with that being said i do adore tizi and i think he SHOULD wear lipstick if he isn’t already. i love him so much. the few times i have drawn him he has had bottom lipstick but not top lipstick. if i can ever find those photos i’ll post him…

tizi is a very lovely side villain i wish we got even more of. i do with they kept the vague sephiroth vibes he had in the manga design wise though.

Can we get Squalo and Tiziano's designs? The sea gays. Because leviathans or aquatic dragons seem fun.

Lyxine, old friend! Aquatic dragons... Am I really that predictable?

Well, no shame in that. Not everything has to be unexpected!

Squalo is an aquatic dragon, as you can see. He is based off of sharks, of course, and lionfish. Despite their size and poor resilience, these dragons compensate with astounding speed and bite strength, making them ambushers of preference. Squalo’s Spirit Dragon also gives him the power to teleport short distances between bodies of water. 

Tiziano is amphibian rather than aquatic. He is a parasitic dragon, based off of leeches and fleas. I focused more on the idea of ‘latching’ onto something. He and Squalo are in a happy, comitted mutualistic relationship. You may ask how a parasitic dragon is involved in such a relationship. The answer is dragon love. Tizziano can help isolate or disorient their prey, setting up Squalo’s ambush, by releasing a toxin into the body that harms the neuroreceptors and neurotransmitters (mostly in their face area) thus preventing them from emoting and garbling their speech (if they are capable of speech).

As always, these are unfinished designs. I am very unhappy with Tizziano’s actual design and I want to find a way to incorporate more characteristics of the human character into the dragon. Squalo’s, I have no major issue with, aside changing the head into a more shark-like one and perhaps altering the legs a bit. If he is mostly aquatic, the legs don’t need to be so adapted towards walking on land, you see my point?
