Katara: master waterbender and healer in the south pole, formerly Korra's teacher, and a vocal supporter of the South Pole's newly established laws limiting the Chief's power and allowing to call for their removal under certain circumstances (not quite a democracy yet, but getting there)
Sokka: master swordsman, boomerang enthusiast, member of the White Lotus, lives on Kyoshi island, and helps train the Kyoshi Warriors (he made them co-ed)
Toph: master earthbender, lives in the Swamp, strained relationship with her daughters
Zuko: master firebender and swordsman, member of the White Lotus, retired Fire Lord
Suki: Elder of Kyoshi Island, retired Warrior
Azula: a crime boss in Republic City, taught Mako to use lightning, pulls the strings behind the scenes of the Triple Threat Triad
Ty Lee: retired as a Kyoshi Warrior after serving as one for at least two decades in order to raise her daughter as a single mother, chronic traveler, good friend to Sokka and Suki
Mai: dead, sorry (formerly Consort of the Fire Lord)
June: dead, taught Asami to use a whip
