It's solstice evening, and much to your surprise, you receive several invitations. You're planning to have dinner with your closest people: Elisa, Leo, and Finn. But a certain gang leader invites you to join him at a festival down at the harbor. And what's this note from your long-lost childhood friend-turned-detective, asking if you'd like to join for a drink?

Elisa – The Handler/Information Broker (She/her) 34 years old, 174cm, blue eyes, auburn hair, light medium skin Your handler, she manages the works that come your way and vet them to suit your preferences or interests. You have given her a lot of headaches, but you make her smile a lot more.

Leo – The Augmentation expert a.k.a. the Mechanic (He/his) 29 years old, 191cm, dark green eyes, light brown hair, fair skin A bioengineering expert, the one who keeps your augmentation in tiptop conditions. He’s somewhat fixated with your augmentation; consider it the most beautiful structure he’s got his hand on.

Simon/Simone – Detective and childhood friend (She/her or he/his) Simon: 32 years old, 180cm, dark brown eyes, black hair, rich brown skin Simone: 32 years old, 172cm, dark brown eyes, black hair, rich brown skin Obsessed in tracking and capturing you. Former childhood friend. Missing you and angry at you at the same time.

Jin Woo – Crime gang leader (He/his) 39 years old, 187cm, black eyes, black hair, light skin Leader of a crime gang, charismatic and flamboyant. Protective to the ones he cares and cruel to the one he hates. Everything is transactional, until it isn’t.

Apologies, it takes a while for me to respond to this (and also other asks that are still sitting in my inbox) but here you go:

Elisa: Panic in the beginning, but commits to it—telling herself it's necessary, even as her heart rate spikes. When MC kisses her, she grabs MC's clothes to steady herself. When it's done, she avoids meeting MC's eyes, needing time to gather herself. Walks faster ahead so they won't see her blushing face.

Leo: Slightly amused by the idea, doesn't say no. Makes sure it's believable. Positions himself to shield MC with his height. When it's done, he remarks, "Wow, didn't expect that to work." He glances at MC with a slight smile. "Next time, give me a heads up so I can be prepared."

Simon/e: Freezes for half a second before catching on. Commits to it but their face goes red. When it's done, they apologize even though it was MC who suggested it. Can't make eye contact for a while.

Jinwoo: Grinning. "Really? That's your plan?" But fully commits to it, making it very convincing. Even pretends to be annoyed when someone notices them. Adds an extra kiss for good measure. "Good teamwork." Clearly enjoying it.

Padma: Raises an eyebrow but doesn't hesitate. Takes the lead, flustering MC instead. Afterward, makes a small tactical comment about the situation, treating it purely as a professional maneuver.

Progress Update - 29 January 2026

Hi everyone.

Just a quick update that chapter 4 is now at 50k+ with coding. I don't know how much is it without coding because I write directly in twine (I know, crazy. I just prefer to weave coding directly as I write the scenes.)

I also add skip function so you could go straight to chapter 4 after picking several options so you don't need to repeat everything from chapter 1.

I'm on last round of polishing and self-testing and I'll send the test file to my beta testers this weekend.

Also, apologies for not posting anything besides updates. I'm quite swamped with work and when I have free time, I prefer to use it to polish the chapter or write the second story. But I promise I'll answer some of the asks in my inbox this weekend.

Progress Update - 11 December 2025

Hi everyone,

I have several things to inform you about the progress

Solstice Special is done, and I'm testing it at the moment. If everything goes well, I will release it this weekend

I've started writing chapter 4, and it's already 15k words when I haven't even written a quarter of it. Send help 😭

I'll release a minor update early next year to include a non-binary option

Anyway, I hope you're in a festive mood going into the end of year. And those who are not, I hope things will be better soon. We all need a little miracle this year.
