As someone with a pretty loose moral code, I gotta say it’s Subjective. Everything in life is a matter of perspective, my dude. Everything is a lie and nothing is real. During WWII, Hitler thought he was the hero, that he was saving his people and creating a better world. Which, by all modern standards, was actually evil as fuck. society kinda bands together to decide what is and is not moral and ethical and such. But it changes on a whim. Things that were the standard of proper living 50 years ago are an abomination of human rights today. You just gotta listen to the world and hope you’re on the correct side of history.
