Been on a TMNT kick lately.

Made Kraang's mech suit, and it can fit the Kraang minifig. And then I needed the Turtle Van, with full interior, storage for their weapons, and pizza launcher!

This is my take on the Turtle Van. I modelled it after the one from the original cartoon series. It can seat all 4 turtles and the clips on

This robot is modeled after the robot that Kraang would use to get around in the original 1987 show. This will fit one of the Kraang Minifig

Legofying TMNT (2012)

TMNT 2012 is the first (and only) TMNT product to receive LEGO sets based on the events and designs of the show. I can and plan to gush on and on about these sets. However, thanks to a recent event, I realized a grievance I now contain.

Ok, so. This starts with the good news that I finally "completed" my ShellRaiser Lego Set!

I'm missing the cannon and wheel pieces, so I had to improvise. And obviously, I couldn't find the perfect colors. Regardless, I'm still proud. It's still pretty cool. (Though I still definitely want those wheels).

Once it was completed, i wanted to decorate it with some characters. Sadly, most of my TMNT characters are at home. (At least they are safe.) Fortunately, I still have a few here: Dogpound, a KraangDroid, some "good-enough" Foot Ninja, a shell-less Mikey, and a scuba Leo with bleached legs.

While examining my Foot, my eyes glanced over to my other miscellaneous Lego figures. And I had the epiphany that is I shifted around a few body parts, I could make my own April! (Tragically, I never got the Baxter Stockman set with the MOUSER.) I started to worry as I wasn't sure I had a yellow body for her. But then I realized that the Wyldstyle body could perhaps pass as a Kunoichi April! Which is especially cool since they never made one!

Wait. Damn. That's right. The TMNT LEGO sets stopped in like very early season two. And as my mutual @purplekoop so accurately put it:

Now that is an injustice! It would have been so easy! Normal mini-fig body. Black hood. Two-sided head: gap-tooth and skull mask. Done.

Shinigami would be just as easy. So would Irma. Kraang-Subprime would be incredibly difficult. (Not to mention Kraang-Prime) Rahzaar could have multiple different angles you could approach him from. Newtralizer? Hun? Renet? Bishop would be easy. The entire Utrom Council would be a cinch. The Mighty Mutanimals could pose some challenges. Fugitoid. How would we do the Ulixes? Dracodroid set? Kraang-Walker set? The possibilities are endless.

So, I've decided to start a concurrent series with TMNT to Me: Legofying TMNT. I'm going to make a series of posts detailing how to convert iconic TMNT 2012 characters into Lego form, as well as sets that they could feature in.
