Tem gente que tem que aprender a cuidar da própria vida, e deixar de cuidar da minha.
Whenever I need to relax, ignore everything, I have read the same book since 2006. My sister Patricia bought it for me for Christmas one year. It is a book of poems, A Book Of Luminous Things compiled by Czeslaw Milosz. I used to carry this book everywhere I went with a leather notebook bound to it I would write in until it was full. The notebook is gone - but the poetry book still sits on my desktop, pages bent and dogeared, spine broken.
One of the reason's I adore the book so much, other than because it was from my sister, is because of it's unusual subjects. Epiphany; Nature; The Secret of a Thing; The Moment; Nonattachment. The authors are varied, from Polish poets during the war, Chinese poets from the 7th century, modern American poets.
It is the most stunning collection of poetry I have ever read.
Snow Storm

The bottle is empty. The fire has gone out in the stove. Everywhere men speak in whispers. I brood on the uselessness of letters. - Tu Fu, 713 - 770
