Day 9

Today has been no better than yesterday. Professor Fenwick showed up on time and we opened the infirmary in record time however I sense that there is still unease in her mind and to make matters worse Michael Farshore did not show up at all today for the second day in a row. I believe he may have taken Professor Fenwick's words to heart and may even have left back to Manchester, or worse. On top of that I checked up on Todd Jones today. He looks worse than ever and I fear that death is knocking on his door so to speak. If he survives till tomorrow it'll be a miracle. -Christopher Earlheim

Day 6

It took us a few hours longer to open the infirmary this morning as Michael did not show up to work till the hour of 10 in the morning meaning that he was a full 5 hours late. Ontop of that Elizabeth also arrived late, however only an hour late. I glared disapprovingly at them from the moment they stepped foot into the infirmary and exchanged a few strong words with them. However Professor Fenwick excused them on this one occasion as we had all been out late the previous night celebrating with the townsfolk. The only patient to arrive today was the young suitor from a few days ago who had broken his leg. I had given him a splint to aid the healing of his leg, however the wound had become infected and his entire leg had swollen especially around the area of the break. Sadly the only thing that can be done for the young man now is to have his leg amputated, however it is a difficult surgery and could lead to death if incorrectly done. However doing nothing would also risk the young man's life. I told him to wait till tomorrow and come to me then to tell me of the well-being of his leg. However i merely did this to allow myself enough time to prepare the surgery, I fear that something may very well go horribly wrong but I can not sit idly by and watch this man die.
