Lately I've been thinking of Ichimatsu attempting to cannibalise Todomatsu, but he just can't do it. Yeah, he has a lot of resentment for Karamatsu as well, but the way it manifest towards Totty is different. Less, "I wish you didn't turn out the way you did," and more "I wish I was as well-adjusted as you."

For the most part, he's pretty ambivalent towards his youngest brother, but the feeling tends to flare up whenever Totty's got good things going for him. Thankfully, those moments were rare enough for him to calm down.

I think the driving factor for Ichimatsu to actually go through with it would likely be a girl. One who actually likes his brother--unlike that pharmacy clerk--and doesn't seem to see Todomatsu for the failure he truly is. Ichimatsu's happy for him, of course, but that doesn't make it any easier.

He'd likely hesitate because yeah, sure, he cares about Totty, but then even if ate him, what'll come after that? It's not like eating him would actually mean he'd be more like him. If anything, Ichimatsu's more scared that if he's successful, it's just further proof that everything wrong with him falls on nothing but himself.

But that doesn't stop him from trying, even if all of his senses are screaming at him not to.
