It's been forever
"Double tall latte please. She looked up from behind the espresso machines to see who the voice belonged to. She was so surprised and confused. He's never showed up in casual street clothes and never ordered anything besides a tall coffee with a chance of munchies. I feel like, it's been forever since you've been here, she said quickly before his gaze averted. He turned to her, immediately, and smiled sweetly. Slowly, he explained that he left his job at the lot around the corner a few months back and was just in the area, so he decided to pay the shop a quick visit before getting on with his business. They talked, they laughed, and they shared precious minutes together, uninterrupted. Do come by to visit and chat some more the next time you're around, 'kay? He agreed and kindly told her Take care. She felt her cheeks burn up, her ears possibly turned bright red, and her heart beat out of her chest. She waved a potential final farewell to him from the other side of the shop windows as he walked out into the sunlight."
