If someone asks for help, responses such as "you can do it" or "the balls in your court" and "just keep trying" are not acceptable responses. If someone is asking for help they are out of options, they are looking to you for help in the form of actions not simple phrases and a change of subject. If someone tells you they can't find the motivation to do anything else but work for 2 hours a day and then go back to bed until the next morning, believe them. Don't praise them for going to their job and assuming because they manage that Monday to Friday that they must be coping. Sometimes it may look like coping but I am screaming at the top of my lungs and it still falls on deaf ears. Stop getting angry with me when I don't pick up the phone, I really cant face talking right now, because when I do it seems like a waste of time. I turn up to the correct appointments for professionals who literally don't have time, I've had at least 4 cancellations in the past 3 months, from people who see me as a patient on a list and who will never prioritise me because according to them I'm doing just fine because I work 10 hours a week to help with my bills but go in every morning thinking about quitting. I am tired and nobody listens. I am not coping and nobody cares.
