How many times did Drautos or an older Glaive have to jump out of windows or off buildings to catch the recruits?

1. favourite place in your country?

CASTLE NEUSCHWANSTEIN. I mean. I love Bavaria in general, but legit fairy tale castle is just... just... there is no building more impressive and beautiful than this. Anywhere. On the entire damn world.

And just generally, the area around the castle is beautiful too.

Though my actual home, the Black Forest, is a super close second, but since that’s not just one specific place but a region, I figured I’d go with Neuschwanstein.

4. favourite dish specific for your country?

Holy crap.

I so rarely eat German food. I’m very partial to Greek, Italian and Hungarian when it comes to going out for food... *frowns thoughtfully*

Is it cheating if I just generally say spätzle? It’s, uh, the thing Americans do to Maccaroni, to cover them with cheese, we Germans do that with spätzle. So it is its own dish. Just cheese and onions.

But I generally order spätzle as the side dish to literally everything. Am I having sausages? Steak? Salmon? Other fish? EVERYTHING goes with spätzle. Spätzle compliment literally eeeverything and if they are actually self-made and not boring bought ones, they are sooo fucking delicious that I can literally eat them without anything.

8. do you get confused with other nationalities? if so, which ones and by whom?

Ah, yeah, we already had this one. xD Germany, often getting mixed up with Switzerland and Austria. But more in a “it’s a blur where the borders are because they all speak German so aren’t they the same?” kinda thing.

22. what makes you proud about your country? what makes you ashamed?

I’m proud that we haven’t gotten into any war since WWII. Like. We saw how bad war was and didn’t get into another one since then. And I, as a pacifist who reeeaaally hates war, all of war not just war itself but the shit around it too, am very proud of that.

I’m ashamed at how long it took us to have marriage equality. I’m ashamed that there is Nazis again. I’m ashamed at how hostile old people treat immigrants in Germany.
