I haven’t produced postcards in a while, I used to do it all the time. But anyway, I will be selling postcards of these artworks on Saturday, May 30, for Today x Future’s night market. See you there!

These two are still available (last I checked, at least), while all the others are already sold. So let me know if you're interested!
These works on paper are from my latest series of drawings, What the Closed Eyes See.
Small works on paper (colored pencils) for my annual birthday exhibit / party.
What the Closed Eyes See.
Better than last year's sad set (if you follow me here). This one more hopeful, but still tugging on that pessimism. My take on distance, on that popular reflex of closing your eyes when danger approaches, as if to believe that it doesn't happen if you don't see it, when actually "Nothing's going to disappear just because you can't see what's going on," (Murakami, Kafka on the Shore). Everything goes on, it may not exist in your consciousness because you are not aware of it, but we all know that it still happens, and yet most of us still cling to the notion that ignorance is bliss, and, perhaps, this is not wrong. "I choose to trust you, I do not know what goes on there, and I don't want to know. I choose to close my eyes until the next thing I see is you, back here, in front of me."
What the Closed Eyes See.
I have small birthday show this Saturday, August 23, at 8pm. Drop by and say hi if you're in Manila. It's at Today x Future, a bar in Cubao, Quezon City.
I missed this style!
