There is an initiative, found at https://eci.ec.europa.eu/045/public/#/screen/home, that wants to oblige publishers to keep games playable in the EU. They shouldn't be allowed to simply switch off a game without it still being playable. They don't have to provide support anymore, but the game has to work. No hassle with rights or money, just keep playing. They are at 424K signatures of the 1 million that are needed.
