I remember the first time I read this particular strip I was standing in the checkout line at Safeway with my mum. It was getting close to Christmas, and the advent calendars were out.

Tom Paterson always had a lot going on in his art. I studied each panel from this story so that I could catch all the little details. This was my favourite panel
