Just when you think the TikTok trend of ballet dancers pulling off the VIRAL-POPO medium allegro enchainement by ex-Berlin State Ballet master Tomas Karlborg has died down considerably:
I don’t speak Korean (though you can feel free to like and reblog if you do), BUT while on the subject of FULL CONTRETEMPS, I have JUST THE THING FOR ALL YOU BALLET NERDS for the so-called “sweater weathers:”
Lest you ballet nerds are living under a rock, grappling with no internet, or trying to save precious data by limiting time on IG/YT/TikTok, we all know that medium allegro (not the grand allegro, as Rockette alum Sophie Silnicki calls it) enchainement that has been making the GARGANTUAN rounds on social media so far this summer:
Yup - that’s the FAMOUS “Pas de Balanchine” medium allegro enchainement from Berlin Ballet’s 2021 World Ballet Day company class, presided by ballet master Tomas Karlborg, who just retired from his position a couple of weeks ago!
Haven’t hammed it up for your phone/GoPro camera yet - or rather, need some technique-based pointers on this combo?
