3 weeks of school left and I have so much left to do that I don’t even care at this point. Like why stress now when you’re gonna stress later right?

People should teach they’re kids not to be so mean. 

We were talking in my class about stereotypes and beauty expectations we were taught and what we’ve seen growing up, and a memory popped up in my head. 

I remember back in 5th grade I lived in a really upper class “white” suburban neighborhood and went to school there.  I had a group of about 4 friends and they were all white. I was the ONLY person of another race in my class.  I remembered  that one time at lunch they were talking and they decided it would be a great idea to rate each other on their looks and they all simultaneously agreed that I was the “ugliest.” They made fun of my eyes (WHICH AREN’T SMALL OR SLANTED SO IDK WHY THEY DID THAT. THAT IS JUST RACIST) and pointed out that I always wore the same clothes (even though we lived in a nice area my family wasn’t that well off either so I actually wore a lot of hand me downs.)  I was so hurt and insecure at that age and I never even participated in the rating. I didn’t rate any of them nor did they ask me for my opinion.  I was so insecure for the longest time. I legit felt ugly quite frankly all the way up until junior year of high school.  

My little sister is 7 and in 2nd grade and she's running into similar experiences even though the kids in her grade aren’t as catty just yet they still would call her weird and tease her.  

At that age, kids shouldn’t feel insecure about their looks and ethnicity.

hey! any recommendations for anime?

Sure!! Just a heads up I don’t really watch a lot of the newer animes so my recommendations might be like an “oh seen it, seen it, seen it.” kinda list.

1. ONE PIECE (IF YOU HAVENT YOU MUST 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE) 

2. My hero Academia (honestly put this anime off as long as possible and now that I watched it I’m obsessed and can’t get enough of it.)

3.  Parasyte (if you're into Tokyo ghoul you’ll like this.  I personally think that this is way better then Tokyo Ghoul tho.) 

4. Ajin (It’s a Netflix original-ish like the adapted it from the manga but It’s 3-D animated and quite frankly the animation sucks really badly but if you can get over that its honestly a solid anime, great concept and story line.)

5. Hajime No Ippo (it’s so old but if you’re into sports anime this one is really good. and it makes you feel really good.) 

6. Haikyuu!! (Possibly my all time favorite sports anime now (sorry Kuroko T_T))

7. Ace of diamond! (When it’s slow it’s slow but when it picks up the pace holy shit I love it. Absolutely love it.  I kinda love sports anime ok.)

8. Food Wars (if you haven’t seen it. You must. It’s so good 10/10 would make you want to become a chef.) 

9. The Devil’s a Part Timer ( for shits and giggles I enjoyed this a little too much. more of a casual past time watch. ) 

10. Beelzebub (another old one but idk something about this one I enjoyed so much. it’s not for everyone and it’s kinda hard to get into its kinda ridiculous but I enjoyed it enough to mention it so it must be something.) 

Honorable mentions: Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, and Blue Exorcist
