Fields of mistria thoughts

I'm currently in the middle of my first playthrough, fall year one. I really am enjoying this game i thought id put down my thoughts somewhere. I am keeping in mind that the game is in early access. I didnt realize until literally today. This is really just an extended phone notes drabble so sorry if things are disjointed.

The game has amazing characters, if you continue to talk to them every friday at the inn, you learn about their hobbies, their interpersonal relationships and they have an ongoing story if you keep talking with the townspeople. I really enjoy just listening in on the groups, either discussing their dnd adventures or the children getting up to mischief and especially the group that just enjoys sitting at the bar and drinking.

The art style is really charming and cute! Especially love that all the characters have different seasonal outfits including beach outfits.

And I really like how the menu has a map that shows where everyone is, all missions/requests, in the relationship tab your able to check heart levels as well as how close you are to leveling up your relationship. Additionally regarding the menu you're able to completely customize your character appearance, skin tone, hair, hair color, facial features. Including your character's outfits.

Also the jumping and diving mechanics are really helpful especially in the mines.

I especially like that the game's length for the days. They're not too short, where it feels like you have to plan in your next moves in advance. Additionally, every store you're able to make purchases even if there is no person stationed at the counter.

I only wish you could view all the museum's donation missions from the menu, you have to go all the way to the museum to check. But you can hover an item and check to see if it's already donatable, while in the inventory menu.

The mining progression is currently capped at level 60 until the next major update. I didnt realize this and thought i missed a story beat so i kept progressing major town upgrades and checking back at the mine to see if that worked.

Currently there isnt any major town celebrations/holidays in the other months yet, because games still in early acess.
