so i was rewatching the vod on march 30th and i realised something vod, and the timestamp i’m talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8LnbeaLuN4&ab_channel=TommyVODS 1:12:16

so like about 3/4ths of the way through, techno’s talking about how tommy’s entire character arc is “oh no i’m facing the consequences of my own actions”... which got me thinking this moment really symbolises some of technoblade’s most infuriating character flaws (even though this stream has questionable canonicity at best) for starters... that’s literally technoblade’s character arc the man works with a nation he KNOWS is trying to take back a government, gets mad when the government forms, blows up the government, then gets mad when that government wants to have him face the consequences of him blowing up their nation, then proceeds to blow it up again the second character flaw? technoblade Never faces consequences he ALWAYS comes out on top, whether he was right or in the wrong.  think about it! he got away with blowing up l’manburg not one, but TWO times! he gets away without being executed for his crimes! he manages to keep his close friends around him! hell he’s even formed the syndicate!!!!!!! which brings me to my final conclusion: tommy and techno are on complete opposite sides of the spectrum here. on one hand, you have techno. he gets away with everything. he doesn’t ever face consequences. on the other? tommy. every action he performs is always met with way too high of a punishment. he burnt down a house? oh my god... it’s not like anyone’s ever done that before (/s). he wants to get his prized possessions back and to be in control of himself again? holy shit! selfish! the guy enters prison to give himself some sort of closure? he’s stuck in there for about a month and literally dies!  my point being that... yeah . technoblade’s a hypocrite who gets away with everything... and tommy’s simply a kid who’s been the server scapegoat for a hot minute now. /dsmp /rp
