speaking as an artist with a small platform, i prefer tumblr over twitter for an unbelievable amount of reasons. that being said, it really sucks coming on here just to see people posting in tags saying things along the lines of: i'm so starved of this character/rare pair, can someone please draw/write a specific scenario?
instead of asking for hand outs why don't you.. oh i don't know, support your favourite creators by commissioning the content? it's so hard to get traction when you're a small creator and it's incredibly exhausting to see people complaining about what they want while expecting it for free. it's painfully blatant that you don't respect our time or talent.
not to mention that some people have requests open, but you'd rather post publically to guilt trip an artist into making something for you with no charge. those kind, patient few are not here to serve your every waking thought and wish. when they do fufill a request, it's all to common for it flop because y'all hate supporting the artists that you beg so desperately to.
we are not machines made to crank out content for YOU.
