After posting a Bruceploitation pic on Instagram I had a lot of people basically tell me that Bruce Lee impersonators are shit. While that may be true a fraction of the time, there are some very good Bruceploitation films and here is, in my eyes, the best of them: Tower of Death aka Game of Death 2. Tong Lung place Bobby Lo, brother to Bruce Lee’s Billy Lo (from Game of Death) and, put simply, he fucks shit up. He even has a scrap with a lion.

Yuen Woo Ping did the choreography and Hwang Jang Lee’s the chief bad guy so that ought to get your gussets moist. Tong Lung’s pretty handy too. He didn’t make many films but he definitely has talent. Even if he is doubled a lot of the time (by Yuen Biao, I think).

The film also features a guy with one arm. And he fights with one arm. Spoiler alert: he actually has two arms! And his other one is freakishly big. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, I’m not sure what I can do for you.

Fun fact: Tong Lung is actually doubling for Bruce Lee in this scene. Bruce Lee had died before the making of the film but they used archive footage to make it seem like he was fighting in this particular fight. In the film, Bruce Lee is actually killed and then Tong Lung (his double) steps in as Bruce Lee’s character’s brother. He then becomes the lead in the film.

Yep...it makes no sense whatsoever. Still, great kicker vs kicker fight.
