It's already 2022 where I'm at, but hey... For the End of the Year Ask: 4, 19, 22 🤗

4. Movie of the year? For 2021 movies, my favorite this year (from what I've seen so far) was Belfast <3 For just general first watches of mine this year, my favorite was Brief Encounter.

19. What're you excited about for next year? Hmmm. Planning for anything has been so weird these last couple years, but I'm excited to hopefully do some travelling. I'd love to go out of the country again, but with COVID that might not be possible haha. So yeah, I guess I'm just excited to see what this next year will hold!

22. Favorite place you visited this year? I did go to New York again, which was fun, but California takes the cake for me. I drove out to southern California three times last year and am likely driving back again tomorrow lmao. I just love the way I feel when I'm there.

4. Did you discover any new authors that you love this year? Actually, my cousin released a couple rom com books this year, and it was SO fun reading them! She’s such a good writer, and I’m really excited to follow what she does next. (The books were A Touch of Magic and The Trouble With Mistletoe by Cassandra West, if anyone is looking for some fun chick lit :) )

17. Did any books surprise you with how good they were? I read Tony Curtis’s [first] autobiography earlier this year, and I was kind of shocked that from the beginning I just couldn’t put it down. The guy was kind of a tool, but his writing is so engaging, and his story is honestly pretty fascinating.

25. What reading goals do you have for next year? My goal is to read 20 books next year (which was my goal for this year, but I’ve been play some catch-up since I barely read during the first six months). And then I think I’m going to list out like, 5 specific books that are must-reads for the year. I did that with movies this year, and it really helped me get to some of the movies I’ve just struggled getting around to over the years :)

Exactly! It’s wasting so much time and energy AND ruining the fun of the person that actually enjoys the Thing. We all need to try and live by “My Thing Is Good” instead of “My Thing Is Better Than Yours”.
