Priscilla’s Second Album (+Reasonings)
-Priscilla has, yet again, used the Charming’s studio to record another EP. It’s seven songs and each song, of course, has a meaning! So what are the meanings of the songs, you ask? --------------- 1) Prom Dress: Written after one of the many dances they have in Auradon Prep, Priscilla didn’t have a date. She usually either goes with Kurtis or, more recently, Audrey. But when she realized that her time in Auradon Prep was coming to an end, she started to think of the lyrics to this song. She hadn’t gone to a dance with a date before...ever, and now as school was coming to an end, she realized that a lot of her expectations for school wasn’t going to come true.
2) A Soulmate That Wasn’t Meant To Be: A final goodbye to all the boys she had liked before. Priscilla decided to write one last song to them. She mostly just wanted to get her feelings about them out into the world without referring to them by name because she’s dedicated to never thinking about them again.
3) Nothing Else I Could Do: This song is actually based off of The Great Gatsby (Priscilla’s favorite book). She was supposed to make something for her English Class and she came up with this song and she liked it so much, that she decided to record it and put it on this EP.
4) Bros: A song to her best friends. The people she really had in mind when she wrote this were Kurtis, Audrey, Thorn, and Pippa ( @wiltedthrone and @storiescfdreams). It’s just a fun song about you and your best friend being against the world and Priscilla wanted to write a song like that because she does love all of her friends.
5) White Flag: Okay so this is a final goodbye to one boy in particular, and if you have read about Priscilla’s crushes, you know who it’s for. Again, probably inspired by Audrey, Priscilla just wants to write goodbyes to the boys she used to liked and while she felt like all the other boys could all be included in one song, she felt like this one boy needed a song of his own.
6) Are You Bored Yet?: A Priscilla and Kurtis song lol. Like a lot of the songs that they sing together, Kurtis wrote it and Priscilla sang the parts Kurtis wanted her to sing. It’s really about being in a relationship with someone and being afraid the other person is getting bored. Kurtis wrote it with a girl in mind but didn’t tell Priscilla who it was.
7) Bubble Gum: Now this is just a general song to a boy. Not one that Priscilla had crushed on before and she thought that maybe if she wrote about how she felt, it would make her like him less. Priscilla isn’t sure that it worked but she did get a soft, sad song that she wrote in five minutes while playing her ukulele. It’s the only song that she plays her ukulele in.
