Do you think Curly gave Quote her hat because he might've been scared before he got completely damaged..? She could've given it as a comfort to try to tell him it would be okay, he doesn't remember where he got it but it's still very important to him.

i liked the idea that she gave it to him before they challenged miakid - i remember ages ago i read a fic where (i think, it was a while ago) she gave him her hat and he gave her the iron bond and it was just... aaa.......

in a way she does bring him souls as he IS infact a soul eater in this canon (no not the anime go away fangirls shoo shoo SCAT) but she found out how the snatcher’s contracts work and innocently uses them to get him souls as he won’t take it from things smaller then him that are basically harmless but if he’s on a planet with hat girl he will actually vanish ahead and go after the big guys  and actually SQUEEZE THE SOUL OUT OF THEM he enjoys it too but hat girl never knows it this has been a fail to answer an ask by tumblr this making me answer it privately
