Here is my Simba Toys Twilight Teenz doll before and after my customisation. Her body was heavily modified with Superfine White Milliput, rerooted with black Synatra hair from CustomdollhairAU and repainted with acrylic paint. Despite the pillow-ness of the mods, Toot maintains most of her articulation asides from her waist joint. After the milliput cured, it required a lot of sanding and carving to look okay since I still wanted my Toot doll to look cute. I did end up flattening Toot's hair because before it was too outwards, though I do acknowledge it's still not quite Toot's hair. However I have binged a ton of 1920s fashion videos on Youtube and I can't bring myself to give her a 2000s bob cuz I wanted to lean into the Clara Bow-ish style look. Her hair being synatra made it super easy to style with hair dryer heat. This was posted early to Patreon so please check it out if you wanna see fresh steaming content. So I dislike sewing but I find I am getting better at it I think. My usual method is cutting out a vague shape then pinning and sewing things until it fits. For Toot, I basically made her dress by making a sleeveless top, and cutting out a v to fit her collar on. Her skirt is a quarter circle skirt and it's basically lined to hide my awful hand stitching, For her bow, it's made up of two pieces of ribbon. One piece was a loop and the other piece was wrapped around the middle to form the two ends.
