Not to sound rude or anything, but how is top cat x dibble a proship? ( I don’t ship them, I’m curious.)

That and the power dynamic is actually fucking absurd like yeah let's ship the POLICEMAN and the HOMELESS GUY WHO THE POLICEMAN IS TRYING TO GET IN JAIL ALL THE TIME like??? Do people not understand that Dibble could just throw T.C.'s ass in jail for saying 'no' to him if they were in a relationship (obvs Dib wouldn't do that but you get what I mean)

It also takes an insane amount of mischaracterization on both sides to make it work in any capacity like bsffr bro do not look me in the eyes and tell me that Dibble would kiss T.C. on the lips or take him on a date and vice versa

Like yes Dibble cares about Top Cat and the gang but in a romantic way is such a stretch I oughta call you Armstrong.

Also Dib is a whole ass human and T.C. is a cat. Not even like a human sized cat just a sapient bipedal cat.

Also (and this is just iffy to me I don't like age gaps) Dibble is over middle aged (like 50 ish) and T.C. could NOT be older than like 35 and that's being generous.

Anyways yeah hope that explains it 🤙

2026 Writing Update

Hey guys! I have SO much I wanna talk about, but I‘ll keep the rambling short in this one (kinda)

As you know, I have 3 active stories, and I follow a rotation system updating them - for 2026, the update sequence is 1)Cats, Gangs and Leaders (Top Cat), 2)Takotsubo (Sonic the Hedgehog), 3)The Kamski Hierarchy (Detroit: Become Human). To keep this post brief I’ll focus ONLY on CGaL’s notes.

✨Reminder: I no longer update the FF.net version.

✨I started CGaL waay back in 2012, and it still is and always will be, in many ways, my favorite fanfic to write. I can go on and on explaining why, but it scratches all the right itches for me as a writer. And as my writing improved over the years, so did the complexity and length of each new chapter, which is why updates now take longer (and why I scream when I revisit the old chapters lol)

But fr even though updates take longer now I prefer that to putting out a fast-but-mid chapter with a cliffhanger and inconsistencies.

I love writing for this niche little fandom, and being a part of this community specifically. I’m beyond grateful for the gift of storytelling, to be able to write something meaningful from the soul, explore the beautiful complexity of being human and today, in the era of cheap AI slop that’s become infinitely more valuable. 

The amount of time I have to write is limited tho, so when I write for this fandom, it’s a choice - the consequence is that I say no to original work, and even to possible paid work, simply because being an artist in this community is so much fun. But after confirming that there’s next-to-no readership or engagement with the story since last year I may discontinue updating CGaL online. I'm giving it some time but if there’s little interest till the end of this year, I’ll most likely post up an author’s note on AO3 announcing that so everyone’s made aware once and for all.

I’ll still post occasional art of the gang and Dibble coz I love them so much, but to dedicate so much time to write and upload long chapters might not be the wisest decision if that limited precious time can be delegated to other projects that people actually want.

Another thing, I wouldn’t want to make thieves’ jobs any easier by putting my writing out there without any eyeballs on it. 

Thieves tend to go for stories - especially fanfiction - that haven’t been seen by many, because those are the hardest to recognize and easiest to steal. It happened on AO3 before and Coley even made a video about it.

I'll repost this a couple times to get the word out there, but for now let me tear myself away from the screen, before my ADHD makes me forget everything else I’m supposed to get done today 😝🙏
