Genuinely tempted to subscribe to New Scientist magazine because it is 20/10 interesting and I feel like my brain is dying since leaving education.

I'm in this competition to find Australia's top geek. I'm in it for fandom so I'd appreciate the support. :)
Please vote and/or reblog etc. It'd mean the world to me!!
I was in the paper today
Shortly after I got back from the Top Geek competition in Perth some reporters from our local paper came over for a visit. They took some photos and had a lovely chat with Rowan, Dave and myself. The article was published in today's paper and it's really wonderful:
I think it's a beautifully written piece and expressed my thoughts exactly. I know some people are scared of talking to the media because their words get misconstrued and misinterpreted but I couldn't have asked for a more lovely article.

My interview with Andy Wells about what makes a Geek and my experiences with iiNet's Top Geek Competition.
going to Perth
Going to be in Perth for a few days with-in the next month or so, I've never been to Perth before so I'm excited. I've already planned to visit Quality Comics, Comic Zone and Empire Toys when I'm there.
Are there any Tumblrites that live in Perth that have any other suggestions for places to visit? My Mother-in-law is bringing me a map of the city on Thursday to take with me so I don't get lost. So far the tentative date for the trip is April 7th ad a few days after but some of the other contestants are still discussing their availability. I'll make a proper announcement when the final date is confirmed.
And The Geeks Shall Inherit The Earth:
This is a video i made for iiNet's TopGeek competition, it took about 4 days of straight filming and editing to put together and i'm beginning preparation on Part 2 currently.
