“Loud...”

The beast croaks, body curled over itself with fingers woven into white hairs; balance teetering to-and-fro with a threat of tumbling.

“Loud...”

A hiss, ears ringing as a voice screams into them, wild and frightened, threatening to deafen him.

“It’s...too...LOUD!”

Blagden’s voice echoes throughout the tiny shed he’d hidden his way into, a guttural cry near tearing his throat in two; fingers now forcefully pulling his head back as if he no longer controlled his very own limbs. Tail whips frantically, teeth nip and bite at the air, and an acidic spew of fel-coated saliva is forced up and puddled at his feet when his body instructs itself to lurch forward. The young chokes, and that broken voice tremors with a wail, body thrown against the dirt as claws dig and grip, back arching and wings fluttering uselessly; beating the air around with a frantic struggle. 

Yelling. There was so much yelling--voices. He didn’t know them--no, he did--...he did. Who were they? Why wouldn’t they stop SCREAMING? 

“Stop...yelling--!”
