A little more about Arranged Marriage, but now with more context.

I imagine the royal family sending a report on Zuko as a great warrior (which he is). So in response, the Beifongs send a beautiful picture of their beautiful daughter (because she is).

However, at the meeting, Zuko wants to rise to the occasion and look handsome for his beautiful fiancée... And Toph wants to see if that idiot is stronger than her, so she's wearing his training armor.

(Whether that works will depend on your companions)

It's so good to see a Taang blog that is still active in these days, especially with the new movie coming. You are such a talent person who can not only write fics, but also draw arts too.

Can you share with us what make you ship Taang, like, the moment that you know they just click... I have been shipping them for such a long time, and as far as I remember, I fall in love with them when reading fanfics. My most favorite Taang fic of all time is "A Matter of Honor" by Adridere. What's yours? I would love to know if you don't mind. Thanks for your time!

This blog is pretty new but I've always subconsciously shipped Taang for a long time. It was like a sleeper agent in me got awakened during an atla rewatch. I've always been a lurker before then.

I think the entirety of book 2 and 3 summarize why I ship these two, with moments like the Blind Bandit, The swamp, Bitter work, and city of walls and secrets (that moment where Toph tells Aang she'd recognize his footsteps anywhere). The big thing was their friendship; how much Toph and Aang truly humanized as well as understand and challenge one another through their friendship throughout the show.

I don't think there was a big moment that clicked for me, but rather a culmination of their relationship progressing throughout the show. I loved seeing Aang use the skills Toph has taught him and their chemistry and in in-sync fighting style the two display in various points of the show. (I also love that Aang's second most used element when bending is Earth) Aang's nightmare in Book 3 (nightmares and daydreams) reminds me of the swamp episode where Toph was introduced.

As for fanfics:

There are some fanfics I have read and liked, although I take my time so I'm still reading alot of them. "A matter of Honor" is one of my favorite fics too!! I'm having a blast reading it and the story just gets a good laugh out of me. I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one whose read that fic!

I'm also reading "The Slow Path" by  Tazmainian Devil on FFNET and it's another one of my favorites that I've been really enjoying. I just love the writing style and the story's world alongside Toph and Aang's romantic journey.

"Opposites in everyway" by BlehBlahBluh (and the entire collection) is also another one I've enjoyed. I'm still taking my time through AO3 (and sometimes FFnet) with the fics I've saved, but I have enjoyed and recommend looking through the the Taang week one shots and collections on AO3. I've enjoyed Joydragon's collection.

It's kinda challenging to balance reading fics on the side of writing and drawing, but it's been fun. I really love Taang and am so grateful for the fanfics and fanart I have come across. My atla rewatch and just coming across Taang fics and art gave me so much inspiration to start writing my own fanfics and pick up drawing again.
